Ebwali Boys and Madira Soccer Assasigns crowned Vihiga County Chapa Dimba na Safaricom Winners.
Since the return of Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom season four, the competition is stiff and every team across the country is battling for that 1 million Kenya shillings grand prize. As other regions are awaiting for the closure of the registration of teams – Coast 8th September 2023, Central 17th September 2023, North Eastern 22nd September 2023 and Nairobi 12th October 2023 – other regions where the set deadline has been achieved – Western, Nyanza, Rift Valley and Eastern – have started the journey to the 1 million Kenya Shillings.
Starting with western region with a total number of 441 teams divided into four counties – Kakamega with 162 teams, Bungoma with 152 teams, Vihiga with 63 teams and Busia 64 teams, winners from each sub county are grouped into several groups to battle each other for the county winner position that will have them battle with other counties winners for the western region championship. In Kakamega, Busia and Bungoma the competition is getting more stiff as teams are racing towards the semi finals then finals

In vihiga county after 63 teams battled it out in incredible matches across different grounds, Ebwali Boys emerged
champions in the boys category after a thrilling 4-1 penalty shootout win against Bunyore Assassins. In the girls category, Madira Soccer Assassins emerged winners after edging out Maroon Queens 1-0 to be crown Vihiga county girls champions. Ebwali and Madira will both receive a grand price of Kshs 75, 000 and the runners up each took home Kshs 30,000. Ibdividual prizes included golden boot winners, Golden Glove winner and tournaments MVPs who took away Kshs 10, 000 each. All eyes and attention are now directed towards the finals at Bukhungu stadium later in the month of August 2023.
