In a communication titled “NOTICE OF CLOSURE” released on Wednesday 4th October, 2023 -to all its clientele – Safaricom PLC announced the closure of all its shops in Nairobi city on Friday, October 6, 2023. The company said only their outlets at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) will be opened on Friday 6th October 2023. The mobile service provider said the closure of its shops is to enable its dedicated teams to come together for an internal staff event. the statement further appreciated the understanding of its customers and the company promised to continue serving its customers with renewed energy and enthusiasm on Saturday 7th October, 2023 when normal serving resumes.
“Dear Customer. Kindly note that all shops in Nairobi excluding JKIA, will remain closed on Friday, 6th October 2023.
Normal service will resume on Saturday, 7th October 2023.
