A journey from Father Studies through Potluck to Love Language the all female upcoming album by Fancy Fingers.

Known to many as one of the best and most decorated guitarists in the world, Polycarp Otieno, professionally known as Fancy Fingers, is a Kenyan singer, songwriter, producer, guitarist, 1/4 of the renowned boy band Sauti Sol, Grammy Award winner, and academy member.  In 2021, Fancy Fingers shook many across the world when he released his debut album “Father Studies”. Many did not know Fancy Fingers could sing as they only knew him as a guitarist under Sauti Sol. “Father Studies” the album was themed around his child and the album tells a soulful family affair, chronicling a boy meets girl story and an anticipated happily ever after affair sequel. In the album, Fancy Fingers kept his identity with a cocktail of guitar solos, baby coos, jingle bells and polyrhythms from both Afropop and Rhumba. The album according to him was an ode to black fatherhood, a promissory note from an African father basking in the euphoria of first child.

The Album had 10 well curated tracks and featured Dela, Nyashinski and Mordecai of the renowned Kenya Band Hart The Band.

The album was a real description of the coming together of afro expressions, rhythm, enchanting sounds and subtle sonics that bear a heavy African touch, spiced up by the guitar strings as Fancy Fingers musical first identity. Explaining the loFi instrumental vibes the album brings, Fancy Fingers noted that the album encapsulated the afro rhythm all whilst maintaining the ambient, chill & relaxed vibe but with a touch of realness.
