Known to many as one of the best and most decorated guitarists in the world, Polycarp Otieno, professionally known as Fancy Fingers, is a Kenyan singer, songwriter, producer, guitarist, 1/4 of the renowned boy band Sauti Sol, Grammy Award winner, and academy member. In 2021, Fancy Fingers shook many across the world when he released his debut album “Father Studies”. Many did not know Fancy Fingers could sing as they only knew him as a guitarist under Sauti Sol. “Father Studies” the album was themed around his child and the album tells a soulful family affair, chronicling a boy meets girl story and an anticipated happily ever after affair sequel. In the album, Fancy Fingers kept his identity with a cocktail of guitar solos, baby coos, jingle bells and polyrhythms from both Afropop and Rhumba. The album according to him was an ode to black fatherhood, a promissory note from an African father basking in the euphoria of first child.
The Album had 10 well curated tracks and featured Dela, Nyashinski and Mordecai of the renowned Kenya Band Hart The Band.

In 2022, after the massive success of “Father Studies”, Fancy Fingers followed up by releasing yet another project dubbed “Potluck”. This masterpiece was an 8 track album marking it as his first Afro LoFi album that he released on October 28, 2023. The album was a real description of the coming together of afro expressions, rhythm, enchanting sounds and subtle sonics that bear a heavy African touch, spiced up by the guitar strings as Fancy Fingers musical first identity. Explaining the loFi instrumental vibes the album brings, Fancy Fingers noted that the album encapsulated the afro rhythm all whilst maintaining the ambient, chill & relaxed vibe but with a touch of realness.

After the announcement of Sauti sol breaking up and the members focusing on their solo projects, Fancy Fingers is at it again and this time round he announced that he has an upcoming album. His third solo album will be called “Love Language” and it will a unique master craft as it will be an all female featured album from the continent of Africa. On Friday 22 September, 2023, Fancy Fingers released “Show Me Love” the fourth single of the album following the success of the previous three releases “Ego” featuring Banana Overdose, “Far away” featuring Azawi and “One in a Million” featuring Karun. “Show Me Love” featuring South Africa kwaito musician Simmy can only be described as a sonic masterpiece, paying a heartfelt tribute to the Kwaito genre. The build up to “Love Language” is catching pace and everyone is patiently and eagerly waiting to see the track list, cover and the release date of this much awaited project.
