Following her debut A COLORS SHOW performance, Lisa Oduor Noah sits down for an exclusive interview as part of Spotify and COLORS’ collaborative series showcasing exceptional Kenyan R&B talent.
Lisa Oduor Noah is a singer, songwriter, and producer based in Nairobi Kenya. She was introduced to music through her sibling’s playing of varied musical styles from R&B, Soul, and Rock to Lingala This instilled a deep love for music that she came to know and appreciate at a young age. Her decision to pursue music as a career was birthed by the fact that she wanted to be a phycologist and she had a love of singing. Her love for music was rooted to the fact that she believed that music is a tool that has taught her a lot about people. The expression even from the greatest songs are themed at certain topics be it love, heartbreak or even fun.
Joining Berklee College of Music was a blessing for Lisa as it was at Berklee that she realized there was an opportunity for her to major into it as an art. The fact that at Berklee is one of the best music school in the world, she went to a place where she was at par with some most incredible people who encouraged her to major in music study. As graduate of Berklee College of Music, Lisa hopes that, through her music, she can tell stories of hope and love, and be an agent of healing and restoration to a world in desperate need of love and light.

Speaking on her debut self titled album “Lisa Oduor Noah”, Lisa noted that the album was initially meant to be called “Tethered” because as humans grow there are certain things they find themselves tied to, that either they can let go of, or hold them closer to them. Every song on the album had a particular theme and they all where a reflection of whom Lisa is and what she thinks about particular things in life.
The album which was released on the 3rd of July 2023, had 8 tracks with no features.
