Fixtures and Results.
Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom is a national wide Kenyan football tournament for male and female youths aged between 16 to 20 years. The tournament which is sponsored by Safaricom and partnered with the football governing body in Kenya – Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is aimed at developing and transforming the lives of young people in Kenya by giving them a platform to showcase their talents and an opportunity to grow and earn from their passion – football.
Teams from each region – Nairobi, Eastern, Western, Nyanza, Rift Valley, Central and North Eastern – are required to register themselves. After registration the teams will battle each other from the sub county level, where the winners from the sub county will battle at the county level, county level winners will battle at the regional level and regional winners will battle at the national level in the national finals.
Since the launch of the tournament in 2017, there has been an increase in the number of teams who are interested in the tournament, this is a clear indication of the transformational impact the tournament has had on the youth of this country. After 3 years absence – due to COVID 19 pandemic, the fourth season of Chapa Dimba na Safaricom is back and to the delight of many football fans and players across the country. This year the tournament is bigger and better. The tournament will kick off with national registration in the following regions:
Registration will be open from 24th April and will close as per below dates in the respective regions:
Western – 24th May 2023
Nyanza – 10th June 2023
Rift Valley – 1st July 2023
Eastern – 20th July 2023
Coast – 1st September 2023
Central – 10th September 2023
North Eastern – 15th September 2023
Nairobi – 5th October 2023
After filing in the registration form (which absolutely free) you can find out if your team has been successful in the vetting process by visiting www.chapadimba.safaricom.co.ke from 24th May 2023. The tournament will be played in the format below :
- The tournament will be played across five stages: sub-county, county, inter-county, regional, and National level
- FIFA rules will apply. Any variations will be communicated to the teams before start of tournament
- Each team will comprise of 18 players and two officials for the Kick Off Tournament
- Incase of a tie the match will go straight to penalties
- All other details pertaining to format of play will be communicated at the draw

Other than money prizes which for this season has doubled to KES 20 million for overall winners, there will be over 150 scholarships to TVET institutions for the best players at County, Regional and National levels, and 10-day trip to Spain for the all-star team. This to many is a chance of a lifetime and thanks to Safaricom many lives are going to be changed.
